Saturday 8th August
Up bright and early as Babs, Jon and Harry are leaving this morning on the 8AM Pentalina sailing. We went down to The Hope to see them on board and then shot back home to wave to them from the garden as they pulled out of Watersound.
They could not see us waving and we could not see them waving but it is the thought that counts.
It seems peculiar and sad saying goodbye to your daughter for four months. When we moved up here we knew that she would be up here in a few weeks and we had plenty to do getting sorted out before she arrived with Jon and Harry. Now however it seems more nearly permanent. I can only imagine how parents must feel when their children emigrate to Australia or New Zealand although in this case of course it is the parents that emigrated.
I of course being english did not give her a big hug and love as we parted so Babs, if you tell me how to send a big hug on facebook or something then I will get it done.
